The Office of the Dean in the school of Art and Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, invited Ruben Marroquin to be an artist in residence in the inaugural program, ART@FIT, April 2-4, 2019. The program, the first of it’s kind at F.I.T., will take place in The Studio, in the A&D Gallery, that opened in September 2019.
The Studio is a flexible exciting space, within the new gallery space at F.I.T., the A&D, in the Pomerantz Center. It overlooks the main gallery and can hold up to 45 people. All activities will be within this space, with materials and technology brought in by the artist.
We invite you to be on campus over three days in a single week.
Tuesday, 4/2/19 1-2pm - project with students: Weaving workshop, make your own textile w/R.M.
Wednesday, 4/3/19 10:00am to 4:45pm, working on project, exhibition opening, hands on workshops.
